Well, it’s that time of year again…resolution time….and I have decided to get a jump on mine – I will be starting early – December 15th to be exact – and I fully intend to turn 2018 on its head!
My fitness journey really started to progress a few years back. I was fortunate enough to train with an IFBB pro, and I tell you, that girl changed my world. We had SO much fun together! I was working out 2 hours a day, lifting all the time. I was down to my high school weight, but stronger…..and better! As time passed, I was no longer able to maintain my 2 hour / day routine, and circumstances have not helped much since then.
So, here we are, back to square 1. Back to the very basics. This is an uphill road, but it’s going to be a fun one. Circumstances don’t have a say anymore – it’s time to make the circumstances…and start little by little.
- First off, I will be focusing on core strength. There is no power to your squat without that fire in your core.
- 2nd, there will be a daily minimum of 10,000 steps, rain or shine.
- 3rd, I will be adding 1 strength exercise to the routine each day. When possible, I will try to add links that help explain the mechanics and proper form as a reference guide.
As the year progresses, I hope to add to the challenge. Baby steps. Commitment.
No pressure – none at all. Nope – I totally got this. Lol!
From what I have heard, discipline, paired with consistency, makes goals happen. So let’s test that theory and see what 1 year brings.
This is happening baby.
Signing off and sending hope filled squishes~
