So there’s been a bit of a hiatus in my posts of late, owing to one primary factor: I have been getting back to the gym and really focusing on my fitness goals – which is all so very exciting. I have been fortunate enough to hire a personal trainer who happens to be gorgeous inside and out…and I have loved every minute of it!
She has not only inspired me, she has been consistent and reliable – I just love my new trainer! We are currently training together 3-4 days a week with a focus on rehabilitating a knee injury. She is just perfect for this too – I am so thankful she was sent into my life when she was!
At her suggestion, I have started changing my meal plans to the Keto Diet, so I will be starting a series called 30 days on Keto so that if any of you might be considering it, you have an idea of how it all works. My reference book and starting point has been this one:
I like it because it explains the science of the Keto Diet and how it all works. It really seems absurd, and so contrary to everything I have been taught about weight loss. In a nutshell, you make your body convert from burning sugar, to burning fat, which turns out to be a more stable form of fuel, causing an improvement in performance, and helping to regulate insulin, AND dropping stored fat reserves. I am very skeptical though, so we shall see what a month will bring!
Anyhow, I hope you’re having a wonderful week and please let me know if you’ve tried Keto – I am such a newbie that any input at all is greatly appreciated!
Sending love and squishes and happy vibes!
